Payman Abdali (BANAFSH) is an Iranian composer, lyricist, and vocalist working at the intersection of experimental music, poetry, and performance. Over four decades, he has composed for theater, film, and contemporary dance. He has invented two original genres: Dark Cinematic Noir (spoken monologues over ambient-industrial textures) and Noir Ritual House (hypnotic, percussive grooves with Iranian microtonality). His current project, "Lavender," is a solo mixed-art performance and album.
